About This Video

I headed down I-4 to The Villages for the February 7, 2026 vendor train show—57 degrees, sun finally out—and I brought Jim and Debbie Tedesco along for the ride. We walked into the Savannah Center and it was already getting crowded, with people still coming in. I did my usual slow sweep of the room, just trying to get a shot of everything and see what kind of deals were hiding on the tables. This show is a mix of everything—HO, O, G, and N—and you really have to look close because you “never know by looking” if something’s plastic or cardboard. I talked prices as I went: $5 bins, three for $12, bridges, track (including code 100), and a bunch of older stuff with horn-hook couplers and plastic wheels. I also compared pricing between tables—like track packs showing up at $35 in one spot and $30 in another—because that’s how you keep from overpaying. I pointed out a few clubs and regular vendors (like Citrus Model Railroad Club) and checked out everything from freight cars with decent couplers/metal wheels to N scale details that would make me lose my mind. After making a couple small pickups, I wrapped up by heading toward the other room where they’ve got the layouts and refreshments.
