About This Video

Good morning everyone—this one’s a train show run over to Melbourne, Florida on March 7th, 2026. It was about a two-hour drive for us, foggy early, and already 70° at 7:15… then 80° by the time we got there. I also talked about something we’re all feeling lately: gas prices jumping hard (I saw it go from the mid-$2s earlier in the week up into the $3.40–$3.60 range). Train shows are getting slim, so when there’s a good one, I try to make it count. Once inside, you’ll see they changed the flow of the show—tables were laid out different, and they even had an overflow vendor area outside in the back pavilion because they ran out of room. I walked the aisles looking at all scales (HO, N, O, Lionel, LGB), checked out a couple layouts, and did what I always do: scan for useful parts, kits, and oddball finds you only see at shows. I also ran into a bunch of familiar faces, talked shop, and shared little tips—like how I use banners/signs so folks can find sellers again. I did grab a Campbell kit while I was there (you’ll see it in the haul video), stopped by TRF Trains to see if there were any show coupons, and then we wrapped up with plans to hit a thrift store—because that’s just how these days go.
