Good evening, fine people of the internet—on this Workbench Wednesday I’m getting into the finer details on my current Rail-Scale-Models kit build. I show you what I’ve already knocked out on the walls and roof sections: primer first, then my alcohol and India ink wash, and then the fun part—dry brushing to bring all that texture and grain to life. After that, I start picking out the little detail colors on the walls so the whole structure stops looking like “one flat color” and starts looking like something that’s been out in the real world. I also give you a wide look at the workbench so you can see where the project is at right now and what’s still on the hit list—I've still got a couple walls, some short walls, and the garage doors to finish up. And like always, I mix in what else is going on: a quick update on how I’m doing after my back procedure, plus some train show talk so you can plan your next weekend out.
