Good evening, fine people of the internet—this Workbench Wednesday was a Merry Christmas, day-before-Christmas, and birthday edition all rolled into one. Yep… December 24th and I hit 75 trips around the sun. I was going to do something different, but I cut it short because I’m fighting some kind of virus and it gave me a real scare the other night. Thought I was having a heart attack, took nitroglycerin, went to the ER, and thankfully all the heart stuff checked out. Still, it knocked the wind out of me for a couple days. On the workbench, I didn’t get as far as I wanted on the Rail-Scale-Models brick building kit, and I’ll tell you exactly why: the instructions are wrong, the roof fit is a pain, and the glue joints on this thing keep popping apart after sitting. I’m hoping to get it finished by the end of the year so I can get back to wood kits again. I also talked through stream/production changes—consolidating overlays and inputs to keep the GPU memory from getting maxed out—plus I ran down a big list of upcoming train shows (Deland, Atlanta, Port St. Lucie, Venice, The Villages, Timonium, and more).
