In this video I show you why I finally said “I’m done” with Comcast and switched over to Starlink. I was paying for gig speed and still dealing with slow, unreliable service, so I ordered Starlink on a Tuesday and had it on my porch by Thursday. I did a quick temporary setup right on the ground just to see if it would work, and it did—good enough that I knew I wanted it mounted properly. From there, I walk through the real-world install: running the cable, figuring out the weather-booted Ethernet connection (yep… you just pull), and taking down an old dish I haven’t used since I’ve been here. I picked up the Gen 3 pipe mount (the updated deeper version) and got the antenna up on the roof, then used the Starlink app to align it—basically point it north and get it centered in the alignment guide. Speeds bounced around while it stabilized, but the big takeaway for me was the upload improvement, which is a huge deal if you live stream.
