This VAMP Tuesday Vintage Party Live was a straight-up buyer’s choice kind of night—pick twos and pick threes, ten rounds (unless y’all start hollerin’ “Wait a minute, Misty!”). I walked everyone through how the sale works (you’ve gotta be on virtualantiquemarketplace.com to actually buy), reminded returning buyers about discounted shipping, and showed what was on my “stage” to start: a 1950s starburst brooch, a made-in-Mexico butterfly trinket, Garfield War cards, a Joseph May angel, Lefton St. Patrick’s pieces, vintage hairnets, a big bunny cookie cutter, Boyds bears, and more. And yes… we had the weird stuff too, because you never know what you’re gonna find at a Thrifter Junker Vintage Hunter sale. The “doggy britches” (sanitary garments for female dogs in season) absolutely took us out, and I also brought in fun shelf candy like travel soaps, a Curad Band-Aid tin, a GDR chick “Nestler egg,” bisque wedding couple, party swans “for your nuts,” Garbage Pail Kids, and vintage birthday cards from the 1950s.
