Greetings and salutations, fellow earthlings of this planet—today I’m taking you right back with me to one of my absolute favorite places to shop: Yellow Moon Antique Mall in Mooresville, Indiana. We rolled up with a whole little vintage-loving crew (Emily, Darlene, Gerald, Nikki, plus friends meeting us there), and yes… it was snowing, which my Georgia friends were marveling at while Nikki and I were like, “Yeah, we wish it wouldn’t snow.” But once you step inside Yellow Moon, you forget all about the weather because there is just so much to look at. I walk you through booths that are beautifully curated—everything from tiny doll furniture displays and vintage clothing to plants in old vessels, ephemera, postcards, and the kind of random little bits (buttons, watch parts, pencils… even bullets) that make thrifting feel like a treasure hunt. We talk about the fun of shopping with friends (finding “their” things), my ongoing Easter bunny-and-cracked-egg mystery, and why I love a mall where you can look 15 times and still spot something new. Then I’m back at the shop for a good old-fashioned haul: vintage magazines, adorable paper goods, cookie cutters, quirky advertising pieces, a tiny Rose Lane kitty, and my big plan for a gallery wall of wooden drawers/printer-box vibes for tiny treasures. Most of what I grabbed will be headed to Virtual Antique Marketplace (VAMP), because that’s where the fun continues.
