I kicked off this “Think Spring” live vintage duo sale with my friend Blonnie (Misfit Mercantile), and we hung out with y’all for a bit before we got into the goodies—because that’s honestly half the fun. I was on early, sipping my beloved Alani “Witches Brew,” and I showed you one of my newest Goodwill finds: a Yen Love karaoke-style microphone set I grabbed for $3.99. It lights up, has voice effects, and yes… I immediately started plotting ways to annoy Mark and cause chaos in public (purely for educational purposes, of course). Then we got into what this community is really about: VAMP (Virtual Antique Marketplace). I talked about why I love it so much—how it’s free to join, how you can watch past lives, and why we’re focused on committed, active sellers (not “list it and forget it”). Blonnie shared her story, what she hunts for (hello kitsch and Art Deco), and we started selling—like her sweet set of vintage doll dresses with hangers and shoes. We also planned to wrap in time to go support Retha’s very first live sale, because around here it’s community over competition, always.
