I’m a little late to our very important date, but we got YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook rolling—and then I brought everybody over to where the shopping actually happens: Virtual Antique Marketplace (VAMP). In this Kitsch Fix Mondays live, I’m chatting with y’all about our Bedford meetup on the 21st (yes… the “dirty wreath” exchange is happening), upcoming live shopping trips, and how we basically become best friends by sharing Airbnbs with “strangers.” That’s just what we do. Then we get into the good stuff: what I’m selling and why I love it. I show a 1950s Anesco prayer box (with that old-school tag!), a super cute dolly quilt and pillow set (and we figure out it’s Maybel Lucy Atwell fabric), and a boxed set of 1950s cocktail/bridge napkins with card-suit designs that I honestly think you should use at game night instead of hoarding forever. I also bring out two Rose Lane California Siamese cats (yes, they’re cute… no, I don’t like the bisque “chalkboard” feel), and we even talk vintage hair receivers—because sometimes the weird old stuff is the best old stuff. Lots of laughs, a little singing, and plenty of tiny treasures.
