I hopped on for my Kitsch Fix Monday over on the Virtual Antique Marketplace (VAMP) and, y’all… I was tired, but it was the good kind of tired because we’ve been having so much fun. I walked through what’s changing on VAMP for sellers (the master list is a must, and starting March 1st sellers need to do one live per month—even if it’s just 15 minutes). I also shared that I’m holding off approving new seller applications until after the changeover, just to keep everything clean and clear. Then we got into the good stuff: springy, kitschy, vintage goodness. I ran some adorable Kenner “little buddies” (Hops-A-Lot and Apple Dumpling with Tea Time Turtle), a perfect St. Patrick’s Day Lenox good luck elephant, and a satin hand-painted Fenton bunny trinket dish that could totally glow with a little battery tealight like a fairy lamp. I also showed a fun tapestry ladybug clutch, a vintage Kamar hippo plush, spooky made-in-Japan “Binocula” bunnies, and a couple of precious vintage Easter plush bunnies—because I will absolutely climb into a plush bin if I have to. We did giveaways, hugged on a friend who needed it, and I teased more lives coming up (including a vintage Barbie night).
