Y’all… this is one of those thrift moments where my husband would absolutely say “NO,” and I’m over here like, “Okay, but I’m doing it anyway.” I found this basically brand-new little karaoke/speaker setup that came with TWO microphones and TWO chargers, and of course I had to test it right there. I’m checking if it’s got battery, flipping it to Bluetooth mode, and then it starts lighting up and I’m immediately in full chaos mode. I’m singing, I’m laughing, I’m trying both mics at the same time to see if we get that horrible feedback (spoiler: we do), and then I discover it has voice-changing effects. Like… why is this turning me into a “sultry man” voice? Then it’s a kids voice, and it’s just as bad as you’d imagine—in the best way. My big takeaway: sometimes the best thrift finds aren’t the “valuable” ones… they’re the ones that make you cackle and give you a million ridiculous ideas, like carabiner-ing it to my body and walking around Bedford or taking it to the bins to announce, “You better get out of my bin, lady.”
