I went LIVE with y’all at Southern Roots Antique Mall (Bedford, Indiana) and we did what we do best—hit the aisles hunting mid-century treasures, kitschy cuties, and those “why do I love this so much?” vintage gems. I also had to set things up on the fly (forgot my mouse… so yes, I was out here using my finger on the laptop like a daredevil) while keeping the riff raff out, and then we got right into it. The owner, Christy, popped in to say hi and let everyone know their hours are expanding soon (Tuesday–Sunday, closed Mondays). During the live, I explained how buying works: you can’t purchase unless I pull an item to run it, and if you’re local you can pick up in person and I’ll refund shipping. We looked at everything from the “ugly jugs” (that I’m not shipping, don’t ask) to a great little wood display shelf for collections, a sad little Made-in-Japan dog figurine, and a whole ET moment—sealed puzzles, pencil pouches, and new old stock goodies that made me want to open things just to smell the eraser. We also spotted a vintage USSR globe, a classic Walt Disney World lunchbox with thermos, a retro weigh-right scale, crocheted “emotional support” critters, and even tried on some fabulous vintage hats—because obviously.
