In this video I’m showing off Hello, Yoshi running on Switch 2, and yeah—I grabbed it straight from the Japanese eShop. That’s the big thing you need to know up front: if you want to download and use Hello, Yoshi on your Nintendo Switch 2 (or even Switch 1), you’re going to need a Japanese eShop account. Once you’re in, it’s basically the same idea as Hello Mario, but now it’s Yoshi. I jump in and mess around with the little interactions: you can spam around, pop bubbles, and use the question block with Yoshi. I pick a Blooper to ink Yoshi up, then I show how you can shrink him down and grow him again with a mushroom. After that I hit the invincible star and go full bubble-pop mode—counting them up as I go. The takeaway is simple: it’s a fun little Yoshi twist on the Hello Mario-style app, but the region/account requirement is the real “worth it or not” decision.
