About This Video

In this video I’m running Fur Squadron Phoenix on the Steam Deck and giving you straight-up gameplay with my settings shown first. I’m at 1080p, 60Hz, fullscreen, and brightness set to 0.3—just so you know exactly what I’m working with before the gameplay kicks off. I also want to be clear: I did get a review code for the game. Once the gameplay starts, the first thing I said (and I still stand on it) is this game definitely reminds me of Star Fox. The big takeaway here is performance: on Steam Deck it was running at a stable 60 FPS for me, and I didn’t run into frame drops or any weird issues while playing. Visually, I also said it doesn’t look too bad on the Deck, which is really what I want from a game like this—smooth gameplay, clean enough visuals, and no headaches. I also mention it’s out on Steam now, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch around February 25th, so if you’re into that Star Fox-style vibe, this might be one to keep on your radar.
