About This Video

This one’s the last big chunk of recording from my ride home after Chattanooga (the Blue Ridge Parkway got its own video, because obviously). I’m rolling through a mix of proper green forest roads, the kind that make you forget your inbox exists, and then—bam—traffic that reminds you other humans also have hobbies. It’s that classic travel day contrast: peaceful stretches where you can just settle into the bike, and then the stop-and-go bits where you’re managing space, heat, and patience. I also touch on the camping side of the trip, because if I’m doing miles like this, I’m not exactly racing to a hotel lobby. The takeaway is pretty simple: plan for variety. The best riding days aren’t perfectly curated—sometimes it’s forests, sometimes it’s congestion, sometimes you’re hunting a spot to sleep. If you’re into motorcycle travel, this is the real-world “getting home” part that doesn’t always make the highlight reel, but it’s absolutely part of the adventure.
