My opinion has never really changed on this stuff, and I constantly learn as much as I can and read about it.....and it generally just keeps getting worse. Ease of life is worth a lot and all, but the toll data centres and whatnot are taking might just mean we'd be better off with slightly less easy lives. About This Video

In this one I’m sat on the Z900RS having a proper rant, because my opinion on AI hasn’t really changed. I keep reading, I keep learning, and every time I dig in it just feels like the whole thing gets worse—especially when you zoom out past the “handy tools” bit and look at what it costs in the real world. Convenience is great, I’m not pretending it isn’t, but I’m not convinced the trade is worth it when you factor in the power hunger, the data centres, and the knock-on impact of all that infrastructure just so we can shave a few seconds off life. I’m basically weighing up that “ease of life” argument against the toll it’s taking, and asking the obvious question: are we genuinely making things better, or just making them easier while quietly stacking the bill somewhere else? It’s not a tech channel deep dive—this is me, on a bike, talking it through like I would with you lot in the garage. If you’re into motorcycles and you’ve also got that nagging feeling that AI is being shoved into everything whether we asked for it or not, you’ll probably nod along with most of this.
