In this long-term review, I want to share what I’ve really loved about the PS5 and why I still think it’s one of the best consoles you can buy today. From the incredible DualSense controller that makes every game feel immersive, to premium accessories like the PlayStation Portal and Pulse Elite headset, the PlayStation ecosystem has only gotten better over time. One of the biggest debates about the PS5 is its exclusives lineup. While it’s true that many games this generation are remakes or remasters, I’ve personally had a blast replaying updated versions of favorites like The Last of Us Part 1 and Ghost of Tsushima. And when new exclusives like Astro Bot drop, they remind me just how special PlayStation games can be. Add in the fact that I can access my PS5 from so many devices — like my Steam Deck, Portal, G Cloud, or even my phone with a controller like the ELO Vagabond — and the flexibility makes the system even more valuable. If you’ve been wondering whether the PS5 is still worth picking up, I hope this long-term review gives you the full picture. Despite some complaints about exclusives, the PS5 continues to deliver an incredible gaming experience years later.
