Three months in with the ROG Xbox Ally, and I finally get who this handheld is actually made for. I bought it on launch day because I love my Steam Deck, but I was missing the straight-up Windows compatibility—especially for games with anti-cheat like Call of Duty and Battlefield. This isn’t a first-impressions hype video or a spec recap. It’s real ownership: daily use, real sessions, and all the little things you only notice after the honeymoon phase. On the downside, Windows setup/updates can be annoying, the Xbox full-screen experience still isn’t SteamOS-level, and battery life can be weirdly inconsistent.
