In this video I show you the easiest way I’ve found to pair AirPods (and basically any Bluetooth headphones) to a PS5: the Middle Rabbit D1. It’s a tiny USB receiver that comes with USB-C/USB-A support, and the setup is dead simple—plug it into your PS5 (or PS4, Xbox Series, PC, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Switch, you name it), it jumps into pairing mode, then you put your headphones into pairing mode and they connect. No complicated menus, no weird workarounds—just plug-and-play wireless audio. What makes the D1 a legit gamechanger for me is the money it can save. If you’ve ever lost a headset dongle—like the PS Link adapter for the PlayStation Pulse Elite—you already know the pain: Sony doesn’t sell replacements, and you can end up having to rebuy a whole $150+ headset just to get a new adapter. With the D1, I can use it like a backup dongle and keep my favorite headset alive. Just keep in mind latency depends on the headphones, and the mic situation depends on your headset—this dongle doesn’t add a mic, so you’ll want headphones that already have one if you need voice chat.
