Budget phones usually get a bad rep—cheap-looking, boring colors, minsan outright pangit. So in this video, I tested the Nubia V70 Design and checked kung “pretty face” lang ba siya or may substance talaga under ₱5,000. I did a quick unboxing (yes, may kasamang clear jelly case, 22.5W charger, USB-A to C cable, and SIM ejector), then I jumped straight to the stuff that matters at this price: design, display, performance, cameras, and battery. Design-wise, Nubia really tried to flip the script. Yung Jade Green na unit ko has a full leather texture na premium sa kamay, and I’d pick this over the Stone Black na glossy kasi fingerprint magnet yun. The look honestly screams iPhone-ish, but I appreciate the accented power/fingerprint button and the punch-hole camera—even if chunky pa rin ang bezels (expected na yan sa budget). Biggest surprise for me: 120Hz refresh rate on a 6.7-inch HD+ IPS LCD, plus a massive 256GB storage. Pero eto yung “flaw” na hindi ko pwedeng palampasin: eMMC storage. Kahit pa may 10GB virtual RAM, it doesn’t fix the sluggish feel on heavier tasks—lalo na sa gaming where frame drops and long loading times show up. If casual user ka (social media, videos, lots of files), thumbs up. If gamer ka or mag-eedit ka ng videos, I’d rather you stretch your budget and look for UFS storage.
