About This Video

A couple months back, I reviewed the Hidizs ST2 Pro Nebula with the built-in USB-C DAC, and I kept seeing comments asking the same thing: “May 3.5mm version ba?” So in this video, I finally tested the Hidizs ST2 Pro Nebula 3.5mm Special Edition—same shell design, same look, but now it’s using a traditional 3.5mm jack. I unboxed it, checked what’s inside (IEMs, braided cable, magnetic pouch, ear tips), and talked about the small but important differences—especially the cable feel compared to the USB-C DAC version. For the sound test, I used my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with Apple Music, plus my trusted Hidizs AP80 DAP for tracks that need more testing. My overall take: this 3.5mm version leans bassy, more like a mild U-shape—fun for pop/EDM and even some R&B, with clean and slightly bright mids/treble. But if you want a more balanced profile for stuff like orchestral/choir or some rock/metal, the DAC version makes more sense. Price-wise, the 3.5mm is around $43 (and I saw it as low as $33 on sale) versus $60 for the DAC model—so it really depends if you already have DAC gear on hand.
