Over the years, I’ve tested a bunch of IEMs with different “special features,” but this one caught my attention: the CCA Xyrra (Zyra) is being marketed as both a hi-res audio IEM and a gaming IEM. In this video, I do a quick unboxing, talk about the design (that “zing eyelid” faceplate is the star), then I break down what you can realistically expect for the price—because at around $14–$18, this is clearly aimed at basic to newbie users who want to try IEMs without spending big. I also did a gaming audio test using Call of Duty Mobile (Battle Royale) to see if the “gaming” claim makes sense. I noticed gunshots feel fast and forceful, explosions have impact, and footsteps/reloads are clear and precise—though vehicle audio can get muddy. For music, I tested using my Poco F7 Ultra, iPad Air M3, and a HiBy digital audio player with Spotify, YouTube Music, and Apple Music. The tuning is slightly V-shaped: energetic and fun, but don’t expect huge bass if you’re a bass head. Overall, it’s a solid budget pick for neutral V-shaped listeners (pop/R&B), but I’m still a bit skeptical calling it a true “gaming IEM.”
