About This Video

Guys, for my first video of the year, I finally talked about a device that took me around 15 months to decide if I should even review it: the Anbernic RG353P. I bought this with my own money (not sponsored), and honestly… I still don’t know if I love or hate it. In this video, I focused on the real-world stuff: what I like, what I don’t like, and who this retro handheld actually makes sense for—especially coming from me as a non-hardcore gamer. What I love is the design and the nostalgia factor. It looks like an SNES-style controller with a screen in the middle, and the transparent black colorway hits that old-school vibe. Ergonomics are comfy, the analog sticks feel smooth, and battery life is solid at around 6–7 hours from the 3,500mAh battery. You also get dual boot (Linux + Android 11), touchscreen, up to 512GB microSD support, and 5GHz Wi‑Fi for things like streaming. But the Android side feels half-baked—Google Play setup is a hassle—so I ended up sticking to the default Linux (ArkOS on my unit). The chipset also struggles with heavier PSP titles like Tekken 6 and God of War (frame drops, lag, and it warms up). Bottom line: for PS1/Game Boy/classic retro, it’s a no-brainer. For DS/PSP-heavy gaming or Android gaming like Mobile Legends/Genshin… think twice.
