What’s up guys, TechLab here. In this one I’m revisiting Linux Bazzite, but with a twist: an all-Intel gaming PC. I’ve tested Bazzite before and it tends to “just work”, but Intel-on-Intel is where people always ask the question—especially with Arc. So I built up a tidy little entry-level (what used to be mid-range) rig with an i5-14400F and an Intel Arc B580 LE 12GB, stuck it in Deepcool’s compact CH160 Plus, and installed Bazzite exactly the same way I do on everything else: a few clicks, set a password, log in, and Steam is already there. The big takeaway is that drivers and hardware detection were basically a non-issue. I didn’t install anything manually—Bazzite found everything, and the system ran nice and quiet. The real “Linux gaming” caveat still applies though: kernel-level anti-cheat games aren’t for you here. For the games I actually play, I tested Dead Island 2, Atomfall, and Ready or Not. Dead Island 2 ran smoothly at 1080p high and was totally playable (even nicer once I locked it to 60fps with V-Sync). Atomfall worked great too, but Vulkan shader caching took about 5 minutes the first time. Ready or Not launched quickly in DX12 mode and played smoothly around the 60fps mark. Overall, for my kind of gaming, Bazzite on all-Intel absolutely can “just work.”
