In this video I dug out one of my all-time favourite “useful” AMD GPUs: the Radeon RX 560 4GB. It was never the fastest card on the planet, but back in 2017 it was ridiculously practical—$99, no external power, tiny ITX-friendly size, and you could drop it into basically any office prebuilt and actually play games. I paid £40 for this one (about what I paid years ago), and I wanted to see if it still earns that crown today, especially with GPU prices being… well, you know. For testing I used something a bit different: a Beelink GTi12 mini PC with their EX dock, which is honestly hilarious because the mini PC is bigger than the GPU. I also checked out the AMD software suite and driver support (I was running 25.8.1), and pointed out a big win versus some newer low-end cards: you still get the full record/stream features here. On the gaming side, I tried Atomfall at 1080p and showed how much you can squeeze out of an RX 560 with a bit of settings tweaking—going from a rough 30-ish FPS experience on higher settings to a much nicer ~55 FPS by dropping the preset and bumping textures. Then I jumped into Mudrunner (from 2017), where the RX 560 is right at home, basically sitting at a locked 60 FPS maxed out. The takeaway is simple: don’t expect miracles in modern AAA, but for £40 this is still a genuinely handy little card.
