About This Video

What’s up, TM Nation? In this video I’m reviewing the DEWALT Jobsite Open Ear Pro, and I’ve been testing them for weeks doing everything from yard work to leisure listening and even exercise. These are bone conduction open-ear earbuds (Bluetooth 5.3) built for jobsite life—IP55 dust/water resistance, that rugged DEWALT build, and a claimed 10-hour battery that’s actually meant for a full shift. The big difference versus traditional in-ears is nothing goes into your ear canal, so you can stay aware of what’s happening around you. In real-world use, the sound is surprisingly good for bone conduction, but let’s keep it real: you’re not getting deep bass like you would with in-ear earbuds. To my ears, the mids are the most prominent, which makes them especially good for podcasts, audiobooks, and vocal-heavy content, and the highs come through decently clear. Call quality also impressed me—these mics do a solid job focusing on my voice even with some background noise. My main cons are no companion app and the fact that in really loud environments, you may struggle since there’s no isolation. Value-wise, they’re not the cheapest at $149 retail (often less on sale), but if you need durable, safety-friendly work earbuds, these deliver.
