In this video I put two palm-sized mini Bluetooth speakers head-to-head: the new Soundcore Boom Go 3i and the Marshall Willen II (which is honestly one of my favorite speakers at this size). I’ve been testing both for about a week—hikes, yard work, real-life use—and I break down what actually matters: build quality, durability, battery, volume, sound signature, and the app experience so you can spend your money the right way. The Boom Go 3i is straight-up feature packed for the size: 15W with BassUp 2.0, IP68 with drop protection, a strap, customizable music-sync RGB lights, and it can even act as a power bank with its 4,800mAh battery. It also gets noticeably louder, and with the Soundcore app (custom EQ + a ton of extra tools), I can dial in a brighter sound signature which I prefer. The Willen II counters with that premium Marshall build, a balanced/clean sound with excellent clarity, super intuitive joystick controls, and quick charging that’s clutch when you forget to charge. My takeaway: Boom Go 3i is the best value and the better outdoor “do-it-all” pick, while the Willen II is for people who want refined design and a flatter, more accurate tuning.
