In this video, I’m taking TM Nation behind the scenes at Garcia’s Jewelry for an up-close look at how they build Miami Cuban links from the ground up. Big shout out to Javier and Mr. Garcia for walking me through the process—Mr. Garcia has been doing this for 30 years, so he really knows everything top to bottom. The biggest takeaway is that everything is done in-house and made to order. They don’t carry stock pieces, which means you can customize way more than with jewelers who only offer limited engraving or diamond options. As for what I picked up, I went with a daily-wear combo: a 10mm bracelet and a 6mm chain. The chain is 6mm at 24 inches so I can rock it with a pendant or tuck it in clean, and the bracelet is 10mm at 7 1/2 inches—perfect for my 7-inch wrist with just a little play. I also had my diamond button and the mole engraving added, and it came out exactly how I wanted. The links are tight, craftsmanship is excellent, and neither piece feels overly heavy, which is the whole point for everyday wear.
