About This Video

Here’s a pair of open-ear earbuds that cost $58—let’s just say 60 bucks. In this video, I reviewed the Soundcore V40i (released June 2025) and I put it through my usual real-world testing: unboxing, fit test, pairing, app walk-through, sound signature, and mic/call quality. On paper, the specs look like they’re pushing way above the price tag—16 x 33mm custom drivers, Bluetooth 5.4, 6 hours on a charge (21 with the case), 4 mics with AI noise filtering, IP55, and multipoint. But paper is cheap, so I focused on what actually matters once you put them on. I break down the lidless “charging unit” design (eye-catchy, strong magnets, but I’ve got concerns about dust and long-term care), and I show you how the adjustable ear hooks can change both comfort and sound. Sound-wise, I was honestly surprised: bass is there if you adjust the position and bring the speaker closer to your ear canal, mids/vocals come through clear and natural, and highs are crisp for an open-ear set. My verdict: yes, I’d buy the V40i—price feels fair, fit is reliable, sound is better than I expected, but Soundcore needs to fix the multipoint glitch.
