About This Video

Using the SoundPeats Clip 1 is simple—only if you know what to expect from an open-style, clip-on earbud. In this part 2 video of my Clip 1 review, I show you the correct pairing process, do a full app walkthrough, and then cover the small issues you might run into in daily use. Pairing is literally “simple as ABC”: open your Bluetooth settings, pop open the lid, select “SoundPeats Clip 1,” and you’re connected in seconds. Inside the SoundPeats app, I go through the key features that actually matter: battery percentages for each earbud and the case, Dolby Audio (music/movie modes), dual-device connection, disable touch (super useful if you get accidental taps), in-ear detection, custom key mapping, Dynamic EQ, Game Mode, and LDAC support. The big takeaway: LDAC is awesome on an open-earbud like this, but when you enable it the app restarts and you lose a bunch of other features (like Dolby, dual-connection, disable touch, and game mode). I also show fixes for common complaints—like volume feeling low (it’s open style, so adjust volume/EQ or use Adaptive EQ) and touch controls feeling sensitive (learn the touch area or customize the controls).
