Budget earbuds used to mean compromise—bad mics, basic sound, and zero features. In this video I tested the JBL Wave Beam 2 at $75 and asked the real question: is this actually “premium sound” or just premium marketing words? I go through the unboxing, first impressions, and the fit test, because specs are great to know, but you can’t judge feel and comfort from a spec sheet. And yes, the matte case looks clean, feels near-flagship, and the buds sit naturally with a solid seal that didn’t fatigue my ears. Then I show you pairing (super easy) and I run through the JBL Headphones app—ANC, Ambient Aware, TalkThru, gesture customization, EQ presets, balance, volume limiter, Voice Aware, Find My Buds, and auto power saving. After that, I focus on what really matters: the sound. You get that classic JBL energy—deep rounded bass that doesn’t drown the mids, warm vocals, and polite treble with clear separation. ANC is surprisingly capable for the price, but it’s not flagship level (especially on higher frequencies), and there’s no high-res codec support. My verdict: worth every cent, and I’m keeping this one.
