About This Video

I’ve been running the Sony A6700 and the Sony ZV-E10 II for about a year now, and this video is the “after the honeymoon phase” breakdown for creators looking at these cameras in 2026. The A6700 is a straight-up workhorse for most people—YouTube long form, Shorts, TikTok, Instagram photos, even webcam/live streaming—and it can handle light client work too (family, group photos, small events). The ZV-E10 II is still my main talking-head YouTube camera because it’s just easy for video-centric studio life: dummy battery, fan on the back, powered on, ready to go. Where the A6700 separates itself is travel and photos. I took it to Hawaii for a month and Utah for a week, and the EVF came in clutch when the sun made the rear screen hard to see. Both cameras also have built-in timelapse (people sleep on that) and the ability to load LUTs so your HDMI-out to a capture card can already be color graded—huge if you want a clean workflow in OBS with EQ’d audio. Then I get into the real sauce: lenses. I’m over f/2.8 zooms for low light in real-world travel and events. If you want versatility that lasts years, I’m pushing faster glass—Sigma 17-40 f/1.8, and especially the Sirui f/1.2 primes (16/23/33/56/75) because they’re affordable, updateable via USB-C, and they just make life easier.
