About This Video

In this video I’m talking about one of the most different gaming headsets I’ve ever used: the FIFINE H19WP, and it’s also my first time ever daily testing an open-back headset. I’m not coming at this like a lab-coat audio engineer—I’m just giving you my real user experience: what open-back means in practice, what it does to the soundstage, and why it can seriously change how you hear footsteps, gunshots, and positioning in FPS games. The biggest thing I noticed is it feels like sound is happening around you, not trapped inside your head, which makes games feel way more “there” and immersive. I also get into comfort (these earcups are crazy plush and don’t trap heat like closed-backs), the lightweight feel for long sessions, and the stuff I’m picky about—like the headband adjustment area feeling a little plasticky/cheap. I show the inline controls, RGB modes, and I do a mic test with a fan and an AC unit to show what the mic and the built-in denoiser are doing. I’ll be real though: open-back isn’t for everyone. If you’re in a noisy house like mine, you might prefer something that blocks sound better, but if your room is quiet and you want positional audio + immersion on a budget, this one is worth considering.
