In this video I put four FIFINE mics head-to-head: the AM8 Pro, Tank 1, Tank 3, and Tank 6. I tested them in a real creator setup (no post-processing) so you can actually hear how they behave in an untreated room with normal background noise. I ran everything through the FIFINE SC8 and routed it into my Beacon Studio/OBS workflow, because that’s how I actually record and stream—no paid hype, just practical results. The big takeaway: the AM8 Pro is cool for aesthetics (colorways + reactive RGB) and it’s usable, but it’s “too hot” in a bad way. In my testing it really benefits from a de-esser and some kind of clip guard/clip management, especially if you talk close to the capsule. The Tank series is where you’re paying for the mic doing more of the work for you—more robust sound and easier to fine-tune once you start adding VSTs/EQ with interfaces like a Wave XLR or similar. For recommendations, I’m pretty definitive: Tank 1 is my favorite for deeper/warmer voices (it gets close to the vibe I like from my Shure MV7X), while Tank 6 is the clarity/presence pick and the one I’d personally buy 100%. Tank 3 isn’t bad—it’s just the weird middle child now that Tank 1 and Tank 6 are so clearly “two camps.”
