This video is me putting the Land Devices HUNTER stereo distortion to work the way I actually make records: I track everything through it. I’m running synth, bass, and guitar in wide stereo while I try to recreate moments from four of my favorite songs, and the whole point is to see how far the HUNTER can take that “stereo makes everything better” idea when it’s not just a guitar pedal anymore. One of the big takeaways is that HUNTER isn’t locked into one workflow—it works in mono and stereo, so I can keep bass tight and centered, then open the field up when the part calls for it. The stereo ins/outs also let me feed my stereo verbs and delays into the distortion without collapsing the image, which is huge if you’re chasing that saturated-but-still-wide thing. I also lean on the EQ controls for real tone shaping: boosting low end and reducing clackiness on bass, and doing a straight-up high-pass move on guitars to keep the mix from turning into a blanket of fuzz.
