About This Video

In this one I’m doing an original music/demo built around the FISH Circuits Echo Limiteur—because I love delays that can get weird in stereo but still stay musical when you push them. The whole idea here is “control the chaos”: I’m leaning into the Echo Limiteur’s unique vibe compared to the usual analog delay / digital delay lanes, and letting it shape the parts while I’m actually writing and arranging, not just noodling on presets. Everything you’re hearing is straight from my studio chain: modded TVL Jazzmaster with McNelly P90’s (plus my 1982 Japanese P Bass), into a Polyend PRESS compressor, then FISH Circuits Model One overdrive, and into the Echo Limiteur. I tracked guitar and bass with a Beyerdynamic M160 ribbon through a Silktone 12W, into a UAD Apollo Twin Quad. If you’re into full mixes and riffs where the pedal is part of the composition, this is that—heat up here, and the repeats are doing work.
