In this video, I’m sharing my top five tech gadgets of 2025—no ranking, just a fun roundup of the devices I actually used and genuinely enjoyed. And as always, I’m not a tech YouTuber, so everything here is purely based on my personal experience. Because of my Google Pixel videos, I know a lot of you love tech too, so I wanted to show a really dynamic range: some mainstream favorites, and some super niche, specific tools that feel surprisingly perfect for the right person. I start with the Nintendo Switch 2, which I gifted Ian for our anniversary (one of my favorite moments of the year). It feels more premium than the OLED, it’s bigger and more comfortable to hold, and the screen is super clear and vibrant. Then I talk about the BOOX Palma 2, my favorite e-reading device ever because it’s small, customizable, and lets me read across apps (yes, even Substack). From there, we get into my Freewrite Traveler—my distraction-free writing tool that’s been especially meaningful since I found out I’ll be a published author in 2027. I also share why I love mechanical keyboards (the ASMR alone), and I wrap up with the Google Pixel 9 Pro as my favorite phone experience of the year—especially if you want that newer, more “luxe” Pixel hardware direction without needing the newest model.
