About This Video

I love skincare — it’s genuinely my happy place — but in this video I’m sharing the five little frustrations that drive me absolutely nuts. This is not a hatefest and I’m not bashing brands; it’s just an honest chat about the stuff that ruins the experience, even when the formula itself is gorgeous. I get into bad packaging (pumps that don’t pump, leaky droppers, jars you have to dig into), and why packaging isn’t just ā€œprettyā€ — it protects ingredients, controls dosage, and can make me repurchase (or never repurchase) a product. Then I go on a mini-rant about the term ā€œmedical grade,ā€ because in most places it isn’t regulated and it’s often just marketing. I also talk about products that pill (the bane of my skincare existence), how layering, silicones, and mismatched textures can trigger it, and what I do to troubleshoot. Finally, I tackle miracle claims (erase 10 years overnight… please) and the myth that luxury automatically equals effective. I buy luxury sometimes, but I choose it for formulation, research, or because I simply like it — not because it’s the only way to get results on mature skin.
