I’m showing you where it’s worth spending, where you can save, and where the price is really just about the experience. Because every routine needs three things: an SPF, a cleanser, and a moisturiser — everything else is optional. I break it into four real-life categories and give you a high-end, mid-priced, and budget pick for each: rich barrier creams for dry, thin, menopausal or chronically dehydrated skin; rescue-and-repair balms for irritated or overtreated skin; active-led moisturisers with peptides/antioxidants for long-term skin quality; and lightweight everyday gel-creams for normal to oily skin. My big takeaway is simple: expensive does not mean necessary. Great skin isn’t about spending more — it’s about spending smarter, and choosing the right moisturiser for the job at any price.
