Average typing speed is around 40 WPM (60 is “good”), while the average speaking speed is roughly 130–150 WPM. In my own quick test, I spoke at 122 WPM versus typing at 68 WPM—nearly twice as fast. But speed isn’t the only win. I also found my dictation accuracy was 100%, while my typing accuracy sits closer to 92–93% because I’m worrying about spelling, tense, and little errors. And with AI, that’s the whole point: it’s excellent at organizing messy thoughts. I show you how to use the microphone button to dictate a prompt, review the text before sending, and then add a quick instruction like “please group these into an actionable task list.” The result is a clean, grouped set of tasks you can copy into your project board and actually start using—without getting stuck staring at a blinking cursor.
