About This Video

Are you still typing “what time works for you?” in your emails? If so, stop it. In this video I show you Gmail’s built-in feature for proposing meeting times, so you can eliminate the back-and-forth and let the other person book instantly. This is perfect for those quick one-on-one meetings where you want to move fast—without playing calendar ping-pong or manually creating events after you finally agree on a time. I walk through exactly where to find it (it’s tucked under the options beside the Send button), and why you’ll want to choose “Times you are free.” Gmail opens a calendar sidebar where you can click-and-drag to select open blocks, adjust the meeting duration (30 minutes, one hour, etc.), and add multiple windows across different days. Before you insert it into the email, you can name the meeting, add details like a Google Meet link or location, and include a description so everyone knows what the meeting is about. The result: your recipient can pick a time in real time with one click—no more scheduling headaches.
