In this vlog I’m taking you with me on a girls day trip from Bologna to Cervia (on May 1st). It’s a holiday in Italy, but not for me because I still work for a U.S. company—so I woke up early, got some work done, ate one of my homemade bagels, and then rushed to get ready because I was already running behind. Then I walked to my friend’s place and we hit the road… along with basically everyone else. The drive was the real “Italy on a holiday” experience: what should’ve been about an hour turned into around two and a half because of traffic. But honestly, we had music on, we were chatting, and once we arrived it was 100% worth it—sunny, not too hot, and exactly the kind of calm reset I needed. We had seafood (I got spaghetti alle vongole) and a glass of wine, dipped our feet in the water, and took a little beach nap. Later we did the most important thing: aperitivo time—spritz time—right by the water, watching the boats. The snacks were… mixed (the guacamole was sketch), but the spritz was the star, and then we headed back to Bologna with no traffic and an easy one-hour drive home.
