Hey guys! Welcome to tutorial #58 which is really special to me, about the atmospheric intro from The Weeknd's single "Blinding Lights". In my opinion one of the sound design peaks in The Weeknd's new album is this intro bit, because it utilizes common synths to create a big atmosphere that sounds straight out of a cyberpunk movie in a pop song - S O COOL!!! In this tutorial we'll split this sound into a few different layers to recreate each element of the atmosphere inside Serum and then add a few effects mostly consisting of resonant filters, distortion & reverb to make all the layers come to life! Stay safe you guys 💫 If there's a subject/sound you want me to cover in one of my future tutorials let me know in the comments below ;) Enjoy! ----------- Project Midi Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5jnrjvaqlbeslj6/Blinding%20Lights%20Midi.mid?dl=0 My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/sharpendmoosic Contact me at: sharpendmoosic@gmail.com ----------- Background Link: https://flic.kr/p/r3chA9 Taken by Jay Sterling Austin, modified by Sharpend.
