This one is just me, the song, and the words. “do you fear it now?” is a lyrics video, but it’s also a little snapshot of the loop I keep ending up in: “Can you see me? Do you care?” and then the spiral of mourning things that never really got said. The hook is basically a fight with sound itself—“Turn it down / it’s just another sound that I can’t figure out”—because sometimes audio is the only language I have, and sometimes it’s the thing I’m drowning in. I wrote this from that place where you want reassurance (“give me one more time / say it’ll be alright”) but you can’t open up enough to actually take it in. There’s this internal war energy all over it—back and forth, breaking things, asking for more, trying to make someone proud, and realizing they’re not there.
