Tutorial #53 | Virtual Riot Chord Stacks

Hey guys, hope you're all doing well & welcome to tutorial #53, featuring Virtual Riot's signature chord stacks :) These chord stacks have become a pretty common thing in melodic dubstep but in my opinion Virtual Riot just absolutely nails that sound perfectly, so I've decided to show you how to design these based on his songs and a short tutorial video he made about that some time ago. In this video I've split the chord stacks into 4 different patches - chords, bass, lead & arp that I show you how to make in both Massive X & Serum. On a side note - I suggest making the basic chord stack and then experimenting with things to substitute the saw lead with - distorted plucks, vocal chops, electric guitar, xylophones, whatever you can come up with.
