0:15 - Full beat playthrough 1:17 - Tutorial start Hello again :) Welcome to part 2 of the gamelan pluck tutorial. In this part I'm going to show you how you can incorporate microtonal patches like the one made in part 1 by breaking down a short beat I've made with this patch. In the video I go through various methods of keeping the patch not too dissonant in your track by using more consonant scales (pentatonic for example), having a strong bass instrument, incorporating rhythmic elements to keep the beat in rhythm and such.. This video is in a different format from previous tutorials and it's also a bit longer so let me know how you feel about this type of videos and if something I said was unclear I'd love to answer any questions you might have ;) If there's a subject/sound you want me to cover in one of my future tutorials let me know in the comments below ;) Enjoy! ----------- My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/sharpendmoosic Contact me at: sharpendmoosic@gmail.com ----------- Background Link: https://flic.kr/p/hvew9H Taken by Leo Hidalgo, modified by Sharpend.
