Hey! Welcome to the new clear & readable thumbnail era, I might update the old videos as well but I'm not sure yet.. Let me know what you think of the new font! Anyways, this video is on the sound design of DROELOE that I've been trying to make a video on for quite a while but the problem is that most of the cool sounds come from music boxes (that I already showed how to make on tut #1) or from the combination of really sick drums/percussion with synths.. So it took me a while but I found this really cool gritty lead sound from their track "Lines Of The Broken" with San Holo & .CUT_ & I got to make a video on it! This sound is fairly simple for a drop lead & isn't too hard hitting but once you pair it with an 808 and some heavy drums you can create really hard hitting cool drops. I suggest using the pitch wheel/Glide function to slide between notes while using this patch, the pitch bend fits really well with this lead :) I also suggest experimenting with more detuning than I did in this video for the "classic" San Holo sound. P.S - I'll probably also make a video on DROELOE's drum sequencing sometime in the future or as a track from scratch type tutorial :) If there's a subject/sound you want me to cover in one of my future tutorials let me know in the comments below ;) Enjoy! ----------- My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/sharpendmoosic Contact me at: sharpendmoosic@gmail.com ----------- Background Link: https://flic.kr/p/RMJWR5 Taken by Kandukuru Nagarjun, modified by Sharpend.
