Hey everyone, here's tutorial #21 about turning marimba samples (or any plucky samples you want) into unique ambient granular pads! This one is based on a request I got to recreate sounds from Spitfire Audio's "Marimba Swarm" kontakt library, specifically this video: https://youtu.be/8snuFG0OYLQ This process is fairly simple and similar to tutorial #11 by me, after you have your source sound, record a few notes out of it and then sample these using a granular synthesizer, add a lot of reverb and mix it at like 45% wet and you get the basic sound. Then in the video I also explain some additonal methods to give that sound subtle high end elements and some bass frequencies as well to fill up the frequency spectrum and give it depth :) Also as you can hear my throat barely made it through this video so this video also turned into an ASMR video as well lol. If there's a subject/sound you want me to cover in one of my future tutorials let me know in the comments below ;) Enjoy! ----------- Plane Ambience Sample Download: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wz1q2ae3mq6habn/Mediocre%20Plane%20Ambience.mp3?dl=0 My Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/sharpendmoosic Contact me at: sharpendmoosic@gmail.com ----------- Background Link: https://flic.kr/p/5PfYDk Taken by Eirik Solheim, modified by Sharpend.
