About This Video

This one is just the audio for my song “Tired.” It’s me putting words to that specific kind of burnout where you’re still trying to be kind, still trying to hold it together, but you can feel the distance growing anyway. The hook is basically me admitting it: life moves on, and I can’t take much more of casually growing apart and old—because in our heads we still feel like the same two kids, but time keeps doing its thing. Lyrically, I’m bouncing between wanting to escape (“let’s drive, far away”) and accepting what I already know: it’s time to move on, even if it’s not what you planned at all. The “caught in a storm” sections are my way of leaving a light on—like, you’re alone right now, but you’ll love again, just hold on, stay strong, and I know we’ll meet again. And at the end I land on the real reason: I’m tired of making old excuses for bruises that won’t heal, so I let go of old highs and past time just to feel alive again. Old friend—you’ll be just fine.
