About This Video

I made a sample pack out of the exact sounds I used to create my album “Just Hang In There,” and in this video I walk you through what’s inside and how I flipped it into a full demo track using only the pack. I start by showing the folder layout and the different categories: Ambience noise recordings, tonal Atmospheres (mostly made with my guitar pedals and effects), Drum loops and one-shots, tonal/atonal Fills, long improv “Full Recordings,” time-synced Melody Loops, SFX, and Tonal One-shots (playable hits, chords, acoustic + sound-designed stuff). The idea is you can grab quick textures, or build full instruments from the samples. Then I break down my workflow for the demo: I pitched everything to F# major, started with a droning bass, and layered atmospheric bits in short chunks to get movement. From there I built the chorus with stomp drums, extra short kicks, white-noise rhythm layers, downlifters, an arp, and a light acoustic guitar with reverb/delay for width. I also show a few little tricks—like cutting tiny fills, pitching down a spring reverb so it “vibrates” slowly, and using an effect rack to filter the whole section for vibe. If you’re trying to land in that uplifting, reminiscent, acoustic-meets-electronic space (think Eden / Jeremy Zucker-ish), this pack is basically a neat encapsulation of how I make those textures.
